Originally from Prague, Robert's parents settled for a short time in Toronto, where Robert was born on a cold November morning.

After a few years they left Toronto and headed west, and with a brief sojourn in Los Angeles, they made their way north and settled in Vancouver, British Columbia. His family is now scattered worldwide, from Vancouver, to Los Angeles, the Czech Republic.

Growing up a geek, but working hard not to make it obvious, Robert has always had two great passions: comics and computers. In 1998 he took the plunge and went back to school and earned a diploma from Capilano College's Information Technology Program.

After cutting his teeth at Bayleaf immediately after graduation, Robert took his work to a new level during his time at both Radiant Communications and Devlin eBusiness Architects in their web development departments. Now Robert is now running his own web business - Vanilla Bean Solutions. The "RAWK", as his foosball table nickname goes, does web development, project management, and client & technical support.

A vivid imagination keeps him busy at his computer as he is always writing stories in hopes that one day he will have a comic of his own.

Opportunity presented itself, when he was able to combine both his passions and in 2004 Robert participated in the "24 Hour Comics Day". Robert wrote and digitally designed a comic in one 24 hour period. Robert returned to do the e 24 Hour Comics Day in 2006 and made another digital comic book in 24 hours.

In 2006, Robert submitted a 6 page comic book that he wrote, lettered and produced (with art by Craig Shepard) to Arcana's Dark Horrors II competition. Robert's submission was accepted and in 2007, the book was released - Arcana Comics Dark Horrors II and can be ordered through Diamond Comic Distributors, Inc.. Robert also began his career into comic books by becoming an editor for Zeros 2 Heroes later that year. In Septemember 2008, two of the books that Robert edited will be released: Gustav Hayes & Abigail's War! Robert is currently working on his own comic book series.
